Join us as we celebrate the Grand Opening of Mission United Okeechobee & St. Lucie at the United Way office. This important new resource is already strengthening the resilience and sustainability of vulnerable Veterans, and their families, right here in our community.
The morning will begin with networking with the United Way board and providing attendees with an overview of MISSION UNITED’s services at 9:30 AM, followed a Chamber-style Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting at 10:00 AM.
MISSION UNITED™, is a United Way community-based, collective impact initiative, powered by Our Village Okeechobee. Their Veteran-peer Care Coordinators help individual Veterans and their families navigate the often complex and fragmented system of care to identify and more easily access basic needs assistance, Veterans’ benefits, housing support, healthcare, employment resources, transportation, and more.
MISSION UNITED™ Okeechobee & St. Lucie partners with human, social and Veteran resources at the national, state and local levels. Together they proudly serve military Servicemembers, Veterans, and their families in Okeechobee and St. Lucie counties and around the rim of Florida’s big lake.
