Job Description

POSITION TITLE:      Expanded Learning Coordinator, Community Partnership School 

REPORTS TO:           Community Partnership School Director

Exemption Status:      Part-time, non-exempt

Position Objective: 

Coordinate and integrate various expanded programs and services through the Community Partnership School. Develop relationships with community social services and businesses to build awareness of, and engagement with, programs and services offered through Community Partnership School. Connect students, families, and the community with needed resources. Collect information and produce deliverables such as directories and data reports.   

Job Relationship:

Coordinate referrals for students needing attention because of but not limited to absences, anger, bullying, child abuse, clothing, dental, family issues, financial needs, food insecurities, homelessness, school supplies, mental health, and vision impairment. Interact with all staff and volunteers.

Primary Job Responsibilities/Duties:

Build relationships with Saint Lucie County social service organizations and students, families, and the community.

Must be able to handle confidential information appropriately.

Strong organization and excellent written and communication skills are required.

Must have a passion for and commitment to helping all students succeed.

Must be able to handle multiple tasks

Possess knowledge of student support programs, evidence-based interventions and

community and school-based prevention services

Create new after-school activities and initiatives with the Core team and surrounding community

Ability to work effectively with adolescents, families, professionals, and other personnel from diverse cultural, social, and economic backgrounds.

Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education:  High School Education. College Associates degree preferred but not required if experienced in School environment and district established. 

Minimum of 3 years experience working in a school environment.

Fluent in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.

Experience:

Background working with non-profit agencies.  Project management skills required.

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong relationship-building skills

Communication skills; both written and verbal

Organizational skills

Project management

Competence in Microsoft software products
